Grateful for Carrots!

I've been a little frustrated lately with my attempts at feeding Penny. I've tried a lot of things, turned to doctors and books for advice, and still been only mildly successful at getting this little girl to eat. I get frustrated, but it's hard because Penny is even more clueless than I am about what she wants.
If I caught her at exactly the right moment (where she's hungry but happy enough to eat... it's a fine line), I could sometimes get her to eat a bite or two of something. Sometimes she'd feed herself, and about two bites' worth would make it into her mouth. I've been "feeding" her "solids" like this for almost two months, and nothing has really worked.
Until today's carrots!
I'm very grateful for carrots! She gobbles them up! Now maybe she'll not be so hungry all the time (she is a big girl, after all).

Yay! Maybe she'd like some other vegetables similar to carrots, too. Potato, sweet potato, yucca, or jicama.

Adam started out eating everything but quickly decided against peas & beans. But who can blame him! I'm sure eating those green veggies out of a jar isn't super yummy. He does love his sweet potatoes & squash though, and carrots!

I remember Cherisse had a hard time eating solids. I tried everything and anything to get her to eat, she was actually underweight. Then one time she decided she liked carrots, so for the next couple of wks she ate carrots, pretty soon after awhile her skin started looking orange, the Dr. said she must like her carrots becuz that's what happens when they eat too much carrots.

Oh, by the way, the cats are doing great. Just starting to warm up a little more, you can tell they were very well loved by their owners. They both meow so loud, it still scares us. Tobie gets very excited when he looks out the window and sees other cats, it's so funny to watch him. They are getting along with our cats pretty good. Although we do not know how much longer we will be able to keep any of them, Erwin lost his job the other day from ATK Thiokol, unfortunately Obama is not supporting the Space Program, not even the new Aries Program, so I'm guessing eventually the whole plant will shut down. We're not sure what the future holds for us right now or where we could end up. Anybody know of any Manufacturing Engineering Jobs?

Yeah, I was also going to tell you about her skin turning orange. All the orange stuff most kids like - sweet potatoes, squash, etc... Have you tried bananas or applesauce?
