So on Tuesday I went to the doctor and got to hear my baby's heartbeat! Apparently there's really a baby in there, and now there's only like a 1% chance of miscarriage. Yay! Fifth time's a charm!
It was really cool to hear the heartbeat. And kind of weird. I guess for Kevin it made it seem like there was really a baby growing in there. But for me, I've felt like crap for the last 2 months (notice the lull in blogging... had nothing to say except how crappy I felt), and that has told me every day that there's really a baby in there. But now I know there's a heartbeat. And apparently the baby's the size of a lime. A lime with a heartbeat, that's novel!
If you're all wondering, "Woah, did I miss the announcement?" you can stop worrying. This IS the announcement. On July 22nd of this year, if all goes smoothly, I'll be having a baby!!! So I'm 2 1/2 months along, or for you week people, 12 weeks. (Yes, Shannon, that's the same day as yours. Cool, huh!)
This means we'll be moving to Boise sometime in June, finding a doctor, reapplying for Medicaid, and then having a baby. Not ideal. But we'll take what we can get. It will be nice to have a new house where we can set it up to be babyproof instead of babyproofing our current place. It will be nice that Kevin will be done with school and earning an actual paycheck. It will be nice.... hmmm.... I'm sure there's other stuff. Yes: Our baby will be an Idahoan. Maybe it will like potatoes.
I suppose I ought to put one of those cutesie little charts or swimming baby countdown thingies onto my blog. Or maybe I should let you guys vote on whether it's a boy or a girl. All in good time, folks. All in good time. For now, I'm just happy to be able to tell you about our happy, happy, long-awaited, joyous news.

- Fisher Price Little People Pirate Ship (for Penny.... though I would play with it too.)
- Cute Stationary-- I currently write letters on notebook paper ripped from the notebook

Yeah congrats! I hope you're getting out of the rough patch soon! You need need to do a whole boy/girl poll, and then later have people guess the date, weight, height, color of eyes and hair! It's fun to see how eveyone does.
Anyway, you can really see how much these little ones are miracles! happy happy happy
Whoo hoo, Chelsea! Congratulations! I was wondering when I missed the announcement. Our kiddos are only going to be a couple months apart. Hopefully, you will be getting over the sickness and exhaustion soon. I am loving the second trimester - you feel good, you start to feel the baby move, and you're showing but you're not as big as a bus yet. It's fun, you'll love it.
WOW! That is very exciting. Happy Happy Birth-day in July!
Remember though, I get REALLY upset if people don't tell me flavor and birthdate in time 4 me to send stuff. I know I know, it should be my responsibility, but if u want cute baby stuff from me, u gotta remind me!
Ya 4 u!
CHELSEA! The oven was finally preheated! ALL RIGHT! Week 14 is when you should start feeling much better, so you're almost there. And by weeks 18-20, you have tons of energy and don't need naps or anything. WOW WOW WOW! I'm so thrilled for you.
WHAT!? You're Pregnant!? :D
Yay for you guys! Our babies can be friends! It'll be a hot summer for both of us, I expect... :)
Ew gross...I hope I don't have a craving for such horrible nastinesses like mustard. Although Dave will tell you that it must be a boy then, because when you have a boy, the more mustard, the manlier he'll be.
Congratulations!! (Although Sarah already told me the news yesterday...) We are so excited for you!
YeaH!! WAAHOO! exciting that your family is growing. Or should I say tummy for now? Anyways, great news!
It is sad, for one reason, that your child will be born in Idaho. He/she will not receive a Utah name. I was thinking LaKevea (girl or boy), or something similar.
Hurray!!! I'm so happy for you guys. Such exciting news! I hope that all is well and that you are feeling good. Congrats again!
Chelsea!!!!!!!!!! What fantastic news!
Yay, I'm so excited for you! Congratulations on hearing the heartbeat and I hope things continue smoothly.
Congratulations!! I'm so excited for you!
Chelsea, that's wonderful news! We're really excited for you guys!:):) Keep us updated!
HOORAY HOORAY HOORAY!!!! I am beyond ecstatic for you! I was a "fifth time's the charm" baby for my parents, and after me they had no trouble at all. I hope that's the case for you! I can't wait for this weekend! We are going to do all sorts of baby and pregnancy-themed things. This will be so much more fun than going to do these things with Logan! :)
YAY!!!! So happy for you! I remember being where you are now...the 1% chance of miscarriage is a good thing...even though it bites that the life experience makes it that you have to have a percentage to give you the right to be excited. :) So excited for you! Will keep prayers heading your way. :)
*GASP* That IS super cool!!!! Congratulations! Yes, yes...I'm just now catching up on my blog reading. :) What great news, though! And I find a strange sense of encouragement in knowing I'm not the only one who's been feeling like crap.
Ok...on to your more recent post(s)...
Happy dance!!!
Maybe I should post some "silly" announcement like yours and ppl will actually post on my blog :) 19 on one post! way to go Chelsea! haha (yes, I am 3 of those 19)
