Hmmm... a couple hours after I wrote that blog, I found my chapstick, and all was well.
I found an article that explains very well, very thoroughly, and very lengthily what I've known all along: bottled water is actually from the devil, not glaciers. Or maybe it's glacier water because it's so cold down in that deepest circle of Hell that we've all read about, thanks to Dante.
You must read it.
I agree with it so wholeheartedly. When I got my Costco membership, they offered me a whole flat of bottled water... for free! I told them I didn't want it. I get water for free at home. They pushed. I refused. I did take their crappy picnic blanket, though.

Stuff I wouldn't mind getting for Christmas
- Twin-sized sheet sets for Penny and Naomi (matching? flowered or something pretty, not characters)
- Scrapbook pages
- Fun refrigerator magnets
- Fisher Price Little People Pirate Ship (for Penny.... though I would play with it too.)
- Cute Stationary-- I currently write letters on notebook paper ripped from the notebook

Hmmmm, that kind of makes me sick...We're "stealing" Fiji's drinking water!
I agree that we all drink bottled water a little to readily, in fact some of the botled water tastes worse than the water straight form the tap, however here in the seattle area the water reeks and tasted of chlorine...i can understand bottled water.. i guess, but we bought a water filter tho im sure it is cheaper this way! so are water filters also verboten?
We use a brita filter too. I think they're great. There's very minimal waste.
Have u ever tasted Vegas water? ICK! Almost like Magna water in SLC, but not red. I admit I steal filtered water from work and buy smiths water gallons at 68 cents each. Problem is, now all water tasks yucky. That's how they getcha. Sigh..
So.. are u and Emily going to have fun without me? Not allowed.. just FYI. I was ur roommate FIRST.
I've always hated the taste of Utah water...it's just the wrong viscosity. Los Alamos water though...delicious! Here at work we aren't supposed to drink the tap water because it tastes funny, mostly because it's an old building and something about there being an old iron smelting plant next door. I'm not sure. So we have those upside down water bottle things like in a bank. Usually I fill up my water bottle w/ that or w/ our Brita water at home.
I'll admit I use bottled water, as part of my emergency storage. The little bottles have a longer storage date on them then the gallon ones. I don't know why that is. Usually I use my nalgene bottle which apparently is supposed to give me cancer (read that somewhere)!
Hee hee... now I have everyone stressed about their water habits. I don't want to offend anyone or think I judge my friends on this basis. But I do think it's something worth thinking about.
