I finally finished it yesterday, and I'm really happy with the way this quilt top turned out. It's based on a pattern called Oh My Stars! that I decided to use to showcase my Christmas fabrics. On the pattern, the corner stars look a little more like stars, and on this one, I think they look more like a lattice. Either way, I'm happy about how it turned out. It looks like I actually planned ahead and had enough fabric on hand to finish it. Weird, huh?!
Actually, I'm so happy about it, I've decided to keep it. Originally, it was going to be a Christmas gift. But now it's going to be my Christmas gift to me. I'm so happy!

Stuff I wouldn't mind getting for Christmas
- Twin-sized sheet sets for Penny and Naomi (matching? flowered or something pretty, not characters)
- Scrapbook pages
- Fun refrigerator magnets
- Fisher Price Little People Pirate Ship (for Penny.... though I would play with it too.)
- Cute Stationary-- I currently write letters on notebook paper ripped from the notebook
- Boy toys for William, age 9 months-18 months or so

WOW, Chelsea! It looks beautiful!!
Nice work! It's really cute. However, that little Meimei in the background is even cuter!!!!
I think it's the contrast between the fabrics that makes the difference in the way the star/lattice appears. In the example quilt, the red stars are the darkest material in the quilt.
But you are right, it is a beautiful quilt, and if I had made it, I wouldn't give it away!
Beautiful! Love the movie quote too. Thats the best movie :)
That is really nice. I'm way impressed... and I liked the movie quote too :)
