Disneyland

I just missed my flight today, I'm going to Disneyland!
I can't remember if that's one of the lines of that song, but it was running through my head all afternoon.
The front gate of Disneyland

We got there right in time for the parade

Naomi clapped and clapped

Penny waved intently at all the characters on the floats, but especially this one for Cinderella

Here Penny's turning around trying to point out Cinderella at the same time as wave at her.

Penny's magic feather for the Dumbo ride. She was excited to be there.
Naomi, on the other hand.... you'd think that being carried by your mom through Disneyland was the worst torture ever  imagined. She liked the ride, though.

The Enchanted Tiki Room

The only food we bought the whole time: a Dole Pineapple soft-serve float. Pineapple flavored soft-serve floating in pineapple juice. Pretty much amazing. Almost worth the $8 for two.

Naomi enjoyed Pirates of the Caribbean

I enjoyed Pirates of the Caribbean. Penny was clinging to my arm the entire time.... but I think deep down she enjoyed it.
Yes, I'm a terrible mom, dragging my terrified 3-year-old through Pirates. ;)

I think this was Goofy's playhouse in Mickey's Toon Town. Penny loved the little pumpkin.

Naomi didn't love it so much.
The girls both conked out before the fireworks presentation. But I stayed and enjoyed it.
So, did we really just miss our flight and run off to Disneyland for the rest of the day? Yes, yes we did. I can't think of a better place to miss your airplane than LA.

Oh my goodness! However, some fun adventures! It's not easy going through all that alone with kids, but your amazing and I bet happy to be home now!
