By reading the Berenstain Bears over and over, we've unwittingly prepared our child for all sorts of traumatic childhood events. This week we took Penny to the dentist, and she was a champ! I thought she'd be nervous, but it didn't seem like she was.
| During my cleaning, she combed my hair for a while. |
| Then when it was her turn, she climbed up into the chair, just like Brother and Sister Bear. |
| Penny found these sunglasses, which are essential for being cool while having your teeth cleaned. |
| The hygienist showed her all the tools first. |
| Then she showed on Penny's hand what the tools did. |
| Then she cleaned her teeth. |
| Look at those pearly whites! |
One funny thing that happened: I called to make my appointment, and I told the receptionist my name, "Chelsea Fisher."
She typed for a while, then said, "I don't see you in the system. I wonder if it's still under Christensen."
I do love my small town!

Oh, those Berenstain bears! :D
Benson is so obsessed with the Berenstain Bears, that he's started calling me Mama and John Papa, and Cole is now just called Brother. I kind of like them too-- the one we just got that made me laugh out loud was Too Much Vacation. Penny should get it.
