So funny

The other night, I was getting ready to read Penny some stories before bed. She was playing in her blankets repeating, "Eat... soap. Eat... soap. Eat... soap."
I wasn't sure I heard her right, so I asked her, "Penny, eat soap?"
She grinned at me. "I funny."
I laughed and laughed and laughed. In fact, I laughed so hard that Penny asked me, "Mommy tickle?"
Yes, Mommy was tickled, all right.

Another Pennyism:
I was pouring ingredients into the breadmaker this morning while Penny was standing by me. She was saying, "Monkey, mickey, kickee, minkee." I have never heard so many variations on those sounds.
Then I figured out what she was trying to say. "Making cookies?"
"Making cookies," she repeated.

Eat soap, eat soap, eat soap... sounds like your daughter is developing a slapstick sense of humor! That's great! It's funny when kids make up their own joke.

By the way, we had the missionaries over for dinner tonight, and one of them is from Los Alamos. His name is Anthony Andersen. He thinks he is friends/acquaintances with your sister. (Wait, do you have a sister?) He was wondering if you're from White Rock or Los Alamos? I didn't know what to say, so I said White Rock, and he said, "Ah, that makes sense!" Did I get it right?

Oh, how cute! I love the sense of humor that little kids have.

Silly, silly Penny! Maybe she will like making up words whens she gets a little older. :-)
Karisa, there is an Anderson family that I know in the Los Alamos Ward. The parents are Skip and Brenda.
