What I've been doing lately

I think the only way to spend your time when you have a newborn baby is to hold her, stare fondly at her, and of course sleep while she sleeps.
Here is a picture of us playing dress-up. Please notice the INCREDIBLY AWESOME tennis-shoe booties, crocheted by the INCREDIBLY AWESOME Melanie Helm: My mom is visiting with us, and here she is with a smiling Penny. Okay, so it's just a random face to her at this time, but we think it's cute:
This was taken today. The thing on her head is a hat; you just can't see the yellow top of it.
She does open her eyes once in a while. And they are very dark, even darker than Kevin's.
On Sunday we took her to church-- just for Sacrament meeting. She really liked the singing and decided to try it herself:

Toby tries to help out sometimes:

Last night she got her first bath. She turned really pink from crying. How cute!

Then she gazed into Kevin's eyes while wearing her new bathrobe:

We had a ward swimming party, and Penelope decided to try out her wading skills.

Those booties are killer! I am amazed at you going to church and pool parties! After a week I could barely even walk still. Seriously. You are WOMAN!

Great pictures! I like the knives by the sink while she's getting her bath :-)

You're brave-- Sacrament Meeting already?! Very impressive!

Your mom looks just like you! Or I guess you look just like your mom. That's great to have her around for this first part. The first 6-8 weeks are the hardest (just because of lack of sleep), and then you get kind of settled down after that. So accept any help anyone offers you over the next few weeks!

Kevin. The "gazing" into your eyes photo is interesting. It looks more like a death stare. She's really cute. I'm so happy for you guys. We really wanted to come visit, but... The 9 hour drive was killin us.
