But let's not forget about Thanksgiving. There might not be too much merchandise available, and there's not even any special Thanksgiving candy, but it doesn't mean it's not a holiday worth celebrating.
The best part of Thanksgiving, in addition to excellent food and crisp autumn weather, is the opportunity to spend time with loved ones. So this year I want to give thanks to my friends that keep in touch with me through my blog (even if you're reading this on facebook) by hosting a giveaway!
In order to enter, I'd like to hear what you are thankful for, and here are some details:
1. Please leave me a comment or a link to your blog listing things you're thankful for.
2. You can be thankful for as many people, places, and things you want, but I'm limiting it to one entry per person.
3. Please leave your thankful lists by November 15th. I'll pick the winners (I'm thinking maybe 5 of them, chosen randomly) and send the loot hopefully to arrive by Thanksgiving.
In the spirit of skipping over Thanksgiving, the prizes will actually be Christmas boxes full of Christmasy candy, decoration, and other hoopla.

It cracks me up that you are doing a "Don't forget Thanksgiving!" giveaway with Christmas prizes! :) I will do it later for sure. Love ya!
I actually have a giving thanks Thanksgiving turkey on my blog. So, even though I have been obsessed by Christmas stuff, I will be sure to keep Thanksgiving in the "present"!
check mine. I am doing an I'm thankful for everyday. that many more chances to win right...
I'm thankful for daylight savings time in the Fall when we Fall back because then it's a tiny bit lighter in the morning. But wait...now it's dark at 6pm. hmmm. mixed feelings I guess.
Here too! I was so surprised to see all the Christmas stuff in mall, Wal-Mart, Target, and even the our Lowes-type stores. I know some people hate it, but I don't mind. It's so fun to have two months of Christmas excitement.
I was reading an old book (that I had since childhood so it was published in the 1970s) to Eldon the other day and the main character was appalled that all the Christmas stuff was out the day after Thanksgiving. When I was really little I remember comments about the neighbor who would put her Christmas tree up right after Thanksgiving too!
Haha! Times have changed and Christmas gets earlier and earlier, but again, not complaining, I love this season.
We're not going to forget Thanksgiving though because that's when we get to see family this year! We don't get to go home for Christmas. It's too far away and expensive, but Thanksgiving we get to see my parents. So yay for Thanksgiving and getting to spend time with parents (grandparents:)! I hope you guys enjoy your Thanksgiving too!
you are awesome Chelsea, I will get back to om my grateful list.
I think you already found my list :) I'm glad you're doing it too.
I'm thankful for one full-time job (yay!) and that Clint loves me enough to live in Wisconsin with me. :)
Alrighty friend, here is a small but concise list of things that happened today that I am grateful for:
Good books, Skype so I can coo over Cal, chocolate caramel apples that I recently learned how to make, talking to my adorable grandparents on the phone, and snooging with Sam after he gets home from work.
HOPE I WIN!!! Happy Thanksgiving.
Ok, done. So do we get an entry for EACH comment this month? Because I am a loyal commenter! :) Love ya!
