Memories

I have seen this on a few blogs and I think it is a cute idea!

If you want to play along, feel free to, I would love to hear from you all!

1. As a comment on my blog, leave a memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you know me a little or a lot, anything you remember! If we're only blogging friends, write about a post that is the most memorable for you.

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. If you leave a memory about me, I'll be sure to write one about you...!

3. If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all. And please do this on your page, too, so we can all share in the fun times together. :)

There are several memories to choose from mostly relating to birthday parties and church activities but the one thing I have always loved and remembered about you Chelsea is your wit and your heart. I admire people who have a quick wit without needed to be flashy and the center of attention - and you have that my dear. I remember being in stitches being around you. You also have a great and kind heart. You and Bethanie always made me feel welcome in your circle of friends because I always felt I didn't really fit in. So, thank you for that.

ChelsDawg...I remember going with you and Jill to the hospital in China. So creepy, let's just say I am glad you weren't seriously injured. I remember how you seemed to be fluent in Chinese and I was a little jealous. I also seem to remember something about a big rat and Dean killing it with a rubber band...hmmm...good old china days.

so i am not the best at leaving comments on peoples blogs because it takes more time... and sometimes i just don't have the time, but i remember a funny one with us... remember that one time, we were driving home to new mexico and we get to springville (i think, so not that far from provo) and all of a sudden the car is making a funny noise and stops. we pull over and have to have your suburban towed and i think it was the alternator or transmission or something that went out and we had to buy a new part for it. luckily they had one in stock and were able to fix it pretty quick and we were on the road again. great times! and it cost your dad like $400 or something... maybe more! remember that!

Okay, sorry it has taken me so long to leave a memory-I was a little busy last week.
I was thinking about back in High School and all the fun we had goofing off together. Yea, I think that we wasted a lot of time. But I was thinking about seminary and I have specific memories of each year. Remember how our freshman year you sat behind me and we got in a ton of trouble because you kept talking to me and I kept turning around? But it wasn't my fault because you kept talking to me. Then how when we went to All State together and you and I and Bethanie and I think Jamie all stayed in the same hotel room? We were a pretty fun group. And who could forget synchronized swimming? Hopefully these brief memory flashes bring you some laughter as they have for me.

I know that this is late but I wanted to have my two pieces. So I hope you except it. Man that sounded so familiar...oh ya school.
I will write a memory of when I think we spent the longest time together. Do you remember when Stacey and I traveled to BYU to see I think it was your Aunt concert. I remember staying at your grandparent’s house. It was awesome!! We stayed at Jessica Hills (she was then) house and she took us to a party and we felt a little out of place. I also remember reading stories of children adopted from China. Your parents and you were so excited. It was a great trip and I have great memories from it.

I remember my freshman year at BYU, I went to San Diego without telling anyone, and you called me to hang out or something, and asked where I was, and I said "I'm at the mall with Rikke" which was true, and then later you called again to see if i wanted to come to a movie or something and I had to admit that I was in San Diego, and then you told Mommy and Daddy. But then you said "gosh Sarah, I wish I were as cool as you when I was a freshman." (It's true!! you did say that!!!)

I have been thinking on this for a long time because I wanted to come up with something specific ... but alas, I can't come up with much. Why is that? Just 'cause you're a few years younger and from "the other ward"?

I know we shared some times in band (I can picture your happy, shining self, twirling your flag). I distinctly remember you being one of the ones who boosted me up when I was drum major -- that took a lot of courage, 'cause I thought drum majors were reserved for "cool people," but you seemed to think I qualified as "cool." I appreciate that. :-)

And I remember a few church activities. One stands out ... the one where we were re-seeding the receding (ha!) hillside out in Los Alamos after the Cerro Grande Fire. I was working near my brother and Neil Peterson and you, and Neil had made himself a "beard" out of soot, and we all have nicknames (which I had forgotten) ... and you had the forethinking to a) bring a camera and b) take a picture. And THEN you gave me a copy of that picture. (Thanks, by the way. :-) )

Monopoly in the train station, listening to Michael Jackson in our room in the Xiyuan, eating out as a group, Kevin visiting you when you were sick the first time, you being sick all semester with Mono and not knowing it! I love those China memories!
