Stake Conference

This morning we had stake conference. It was actually held in the Provo Tabernacle, but we watched it on TV in the Stake Center behind our house. We got there early so we could sit on the comfortable chairs.
So after about an hour in the dimmed lights and on the comfy chairs, Kevin started dozing. Actually, if you talk to him, he'll probably tell you he was just listening with his eyes closed. I didn't hear any snoring, so that story may be plausible.
Anyway, there was a little girl sitting in front of us playing with her Polly Pocket dolls on the floor. She must have been about 5 years old. She saw Kevin sleeping and thought it was just the funniest thing she'd ever seen! She got the attention of her friend, who was sitting in front of her, and the two of them thought it was so funny! I mean, here is a grown man SLEEPING in a meeting.
I in turn thought they were so funny! It was a fun meeting.

Kids seem to make everything more interesting. I think the "listening/pondering" with eyes shut thing must be standard priesthood issue. My grandpas did it, my dad does it, and I'm sure Scott will succumb! I've seen him do it a couple times...I'm sure more will follow!

By the way, this is Julie Hill. I got your blog address off of Andrea Whitaker's blog I think. Anyway, if you want to look at my blog, send me your email so I can shoot you an invite! Mine is: jewel823@hotmail.com.

Thanks again for that fun afternoon stroll around BYU campus! We'll have to do it again sometime!
