In the middle of the night the other night, I woke up to Penny's crying. I waited for a minute or two to see if she'd fall back to sleep, but instead, she settled into pitiful, tired weeping.
I went in to check on her, and she'd apparently fallen out of her bed. Since she can't climb back on (it's too tall), she was leaning against her bed, arms flopped on top of it after failed climbing attempts, trying to sleep standing up.

Samuel has a little stepstool thing. He brings it in with him to our bedroom so he can get up on our bed and wake us up.

That's so adorable that she was still trying to get on her bed. Samuel will just sleep on the floor. Once we found him under the dresser where he had ended up after he rolled off his bed.

Makes you want to buy a video monitor so you know what's going on in there! (Well, except that that would make you neurotic staring at your child sleep!)

Aww! So sweet! I remember finding the kids sleeping in weird places when they'd toss and turn themselves out of bed. I still have one that ends up upside-down in the bed most nights!
