- Penny makes Curious George noises. Not the noticeably monkey noises like, "ooh ooh aah aah," but the uniquely George ones like his nasal "eh heh." If you watch the show, you probably know which noise I'm talking about. Or if you hang out with Penny, you'll learn what Curious George sounds like.
- We were watching "Chuck" the other night, and this ninja girl gets in a fight with the blond girl on the show. They duke it out for a while. Then Penny crawls on my lap and starts flailing her arms in my face. I was too busy protecting my face and moving my child to notice, but Kevin pointed out, "Hey, she's fighting just like on TV!"
She did it again today at playgroup.
No more "Chuck" while Penny's around. And Kevin, DEFINITELY no more UFC.
-Tonight I followed along with my Bollywood Dance Workout video (yes, laugh. Chuckle. Get it all out. I got a Bollywood workout video from the library- ha ha ha) for a few minutes. Penny was standing right beside me bopping her knees to the music-- and lifting up her shirt. Well yes, then I noticed the dancers on TV were wearing belly shirts.
Man, now I have to really start watching better entertainment. Ugh! And there's so little of it on!
Edit: Also, the other day on my Pandora station, "Rehab" by Amy Winehouse came on. You know, the one that goes, "They tried to make me go to rehab, but I said no, no, no.... I won't go, go, go." Penny started dancing to the catchy little beat, and then out of the blue (never done this before) started singing along: "go, go, go."
Um.... I guess it's true that all the evils of the world come from Pandora's box.... or station.

Penny is so cute! It's amazing how quickly these little turkeys pick up on things.
Adam's always speaking in George language. Penny's not alone.
Little sponges. My sister watched her son talk to inanimate objects and wondered what in the world he was doing. Later when she accidentally ran into a chair she yelled "Get out of my way you dumb chair!".
Good luck with the better entertainment.. it certainly is a chore to find it!
Sadly this is true with grown ups too... I have been watching backyardagins with my nephews and I now I know the whole theme song... (I'm not ashamed!) ;0)
