Mao!

Penny is a little bit enchanted by our cats. And strangely, they put up with her. I'm tickled about that.
Just this week, Penny has started meowing at the kitties. When she sees one (usually Toby), she says, "Mah," or sometimes just, "Ah." But it's definitely a meow, and it's definitely directed a the cats.
Then today at story time, we read Goodnight Moon. When we got to the third page (And there were two little kittens and a pair of mittens), Penny meowed at the cats on the page. Then after that, whenever there were cats on the page, she would meow at them.
I wanted to pick her up and squeal at her, letting her know just how cute I thought it was. But I refrained and tried to keep her calm for her nap.
But then I came out and squealed to Kevin. Yay! A girl after my own heart!
